I will keep this short just like Billie's life. A shock and pain like no other; with no answers or explanations. Just a hole deep and wide as a canyon in the hearts of all that knew her. She has been ripped away from a family that is loving and whole and left it in pieces. A Herculean task but I will personally ensure those pieces are put back together; into a different looking shape but back together nonetheless.
I don't need to tell anyone how extraordinary a child she is but as her uncle, I saw in her a light and a glow that always touched me to the core. She brightens any room she entered. She has a stunning sense of fun and humour and I know this for a fact because she thought I was funny!
The streets of heaven are crowded with angels today as they continue to welcome their newest brightest star. Billie is in no pain now and is certainly not suffering. She will never suffer again.
I want to turn my attention to my Dave, Dany, Charlie and her grandparents, my mum and dad. Because we know Billie loves them and they are her whole world. The very last thing Billie would ever want is for any of these people to suffer any pain or loss and it it therefore everyone's duty to have the very best life despite it conflicting with every fibre and thought they almost certainly currently have.
The love and despair everyone has felt who knows Billie, family friends, teachers and acquaintances has been powerful, deeply moving and far reaching.
My last few words are for Billie. Billie I will miss you desperately and would have loved to see you grow into a fine women and have a full life of your own but it is not to be. My pledge to you is that I will continue to always watch over the most important people in your life and make them happy again. God bless little one.
I love you, Uncle rob
